I realize it's been quite a while since I've updated my blog with pictures, so I've decided to make good use of the New Year by posting some photos I've recently taken. In fact, the first few of these were taken on New Year's Day at the Payne's residence, which I like to call the "House of Payne" on account of their kids who love to beat up on me (of course, I'm just a big kid at heart anyway).

This first picture is of Gabbi, who is only 2 years old and and is just SO photogenic. I love taking pictures of her. And you can see why: who can resist that adorable little face and Lucille Ball red hair!

Her bigger sister, Sylvia, who is 3 years old, decided to show off her cute little toes instead:

Perhaps the most important change since I've last posted was that my wife and I made a huge move back in November from Southern California to the state of Washington. We're living in the small town of Vader, which is located between Longview and Chehalis. Of course, we just had to move at a time in which Washington broke snow fall record after snow fall record all over the state! If it weren't for the fact that we came because I was called as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Ethel, I'm pretty sure we would have moved right back to California on account of all this white stuff they call snow, lol. Below are a few pictures of how much snow we got as well as how we decided to make the best of it.

First, you need to see what Vader can look like during the Fall. Isn't it lovely?

And here's what it looks like with a bit of snow:

At least the change of weather provided a new set of opportunities for photography:

Even my wife didn't seem to mind the snow once she found out how fun it can be!

And this concludes today's post. Hope you enjoyed the pics, and please check back weekly or bi-weekly as I plan on trying to become regular in posting my photography.
